50's tv show cancelled
MTV Cancels 50 Cent Reality Show
December 24th, 2008 | Author: ------
Rapper, actor and overall entrepreneur, 50 Cent, is having his MTV reality show canceled after roughly one month on the air. After debuting on November 6 [click to read], The Money and the Power will be permanently shelved due to disappointing ratings. MTV Entertainment President Brian Gradenthe also cited the network's desire to find shows that better "reflect Generation 'Why Not?'—living, working and playing on their own terms, 'adventure capitalists' if you will, pursuing a variety of thrill-seeking, 2.0, express-yourself enterprises."
Heading up MTV's line-up of virtually music-free programming will be Daddy's Girls. The show is a reality spin-off of Run's House and follows Angela and Vanessa Simmons. Reality-based programs such as College Life, Nitro Circus and Girls of Hedsor Hall will round out the programming schedule which was previously vacated by music programs such as Total Request Live [click to read].

Swizz Beatz Clears Up Stan Part 2 Rumors
Swizz Beatz now says he never said he recorded a "Stan Part 2" as MTV previously reported [more here]. Eminem recently came forward to talk about his upcoming album "Relapse." In the interview he stated that he had never recorded with Swizz Beatz and there was no "Stan 2." [more here].
Swizz says he never said there was such a song to begine with. “That’s not the title of the song — that’s what I said the song felt like. We didn’t sit down and agree that this was the title… I’m not in the studio [with him]… Everything that we’re doing is over Pro-Tools," Swizz told Thats Hip Hop.
Cashis And Young De Talk 'Homeland Security' & Holidays
At the end of last month, Shady Records' Cashis and Tangled Thoughts member Young De joined forces to release Homeland Security (Download), a mixtape hosted by DJ Whoo Kid. Monday night, the two California-based rappers spoke to HipHopDX about the beginning of what may be a serious artistic relationship. Cashis explained, "Me and De hooked up on some rap shit [for his last mixtape]. The songs came out tight; we did like four or five records." The instant chemistry embedded its way into the two's plans. "We decided we needed to form a group and just put it out there fully, and instead of doing just one mixtape, we need to do albums."
More than just microphone chemistry, Cashis noted that both come from similar paths. "We both came from different camps. I came from Em's camp, [whereas] he came from Kurupt and B-Real's [click to read] camp. We come from a line of legends. For us to be the new ***** puttin' our own stamp on music and makin' our big homeboys proud is a key for us right now."
Both rappers are also implants, Young De from Philadelphia and Cashis from Chicago. Both agreed that this trait also bonds them amongst their naturally-born California peers. "One of the things that make me and Cashis relate is that we kinda came out here and we've been grindin' for years, rappin', livin' this life. Comin' over to Cali and being so successful - him getting signed Eminem and all that [with The Re-Up] [click to read], and me comin' out here and putting out my first album, Kurupt Presents... Going from there to B-Real and havin' him put me on five songs on his solo album and being on the Cypress [Hill] record. Comin' in with big dudes, I think a lot of people that were on the scene out here, grindin' for years were kinda like, 'Wow, where did these guys come from?' I think we have a lot to relate to on that level."
The mixtape's single, "In God's Hands" embodies a lot of their style. The song, a motivational speech to hustlers amidst hard times speaks towards the recession. Cashis said that's going to be important on the road ahead. "I think it's gonna be a major part of Hip Hop in 2009 and maybe for at least the next two to three years. I believe that musically, we're back in a time where nobody gives a fuck about how much money you've got. Nobody believes that anymore." "People want to hear hunger in your music. They want to relate to you." The Shady rapper said it reminded him of the climate when DMX's It's Dark And Hell Is Hot released. He continued, "I think we're new the voice of the people." Claiming he hopes not to have to return to his old ways, Cashis then exclaimed, "You can't floss on people. If you do, you're gonna get robbed. Right now, if a ***** walk up to me with truck jewels on [flossing], I'm gonna take yo' shit. Period. For real. I got kids to feed." Young De chimed in, "We want to always remain real with what we do."
The rappers also spoke about the holidays, and their respective families. "I tried to wrap some gifts, and this shit look like Ray Charles tried to wrap presents. It's all good," said Cashis, a father of 11 children. "I'm trying to let my kids it's more so about spending time with each other than anything else." He added that he would be doing the cooking this year. "My daughter is making gingerbread cookies from scratch. That might not be an achievement to some people, but that's a 10 year-old who [amazes me]. Even if them shit's nasty, I'ma eat 'em like they're the best thing in the world. [Laughs] She's doing that out of her heart." Cashis also noted he'll be in court in January, and touring throughout 2009.
As for Young De's plans, he stated, "I'ma chill out and kick it with my family and friends. My daughter's in Philly, so I got her gifts already, UPS'd 'em out. I'll be back in February. Next year is gonna be the one, so I'm getting ready. I just really want to cherish the times."

Soulja Boy - Talks Mixtapes
50 Responds to wayne
A new song "Louisianimal" [listen here] from the "The Drought Is Over Part 6" mixtape leaked last month. In the track Weezy fires back saying 'All about a dollar, fuck two quarters/Bitch I’ll pour syrup in that vitamin water/I hope you die ugly, and tonight will be gorgeous. After the leak, many people speculated that the song was old and was leaked without Lil Wayne's permission, but 50 is now questioning that.
"Think about it, no one from his camp said it was a leak. We could assume it was leak but he's a celebrity. If it was a leak, he would come out and say something" 50 said in an recent interview on Shade 45. 50 went on to say "It doesn’t matter if it’s old or not. Now I know how you feel. I'll leave it like it is right now and wait till I'm comfortable and then I’ll do what I do."

50 Talks Lil Wayne & Trina, Tells Why Buck Got Robbed
The G-Unit general went on to talk about another rapper he is beefing with, Young Buck. In the new interview [watch here] 50 talks about the ex-G-Unit member that he kicked out [watch here]
50 Cent goes into seven and a half minute speech where he tells his side of the entire Young Buck story. 50 says that Young Buck spent all of his money (over 8 million 50 claims he helped Buck make) on expensive cars, without helping anyone out. 50 says this caused Buck to get robbed and then turn on G-Unit [watch here]. 50 goes on to say that Young Buck was using drugs and wasted his opportunities [watch here].

Eminem Talks About What He's Learned
Eminem still lives and records in Detroit, Michigan. The title of his movie 8 Mile refers to the road that divides the city's poor and rich neighborhoods. He recently published an autobiographical book, The Way I Am.
Don't call it a comeback.
People can try to reinvent themselves. I don't think you can really change who you are, though, because who you are is pretty much where you came from and what you've done up to now. You can change your image and all that--you can change your fucking clothes, your underwear, your hair color, all that shit--but it's not going to mean you're a brand-new person.
You want to say, "I don't give a fuck what anybody says." Yeah, you do.
I'm sure people think I've vanished off the face of the earth.
I went for nine, ten years straight, without taking a break at all. I needed to rejuvenate.
I'm a T-shirt guy now. But wifebeaters won't go out of style, not as long as bitches keep mouthing off.
I like it when people talk shit. Because if people weren't talking shit, there would be nothing for me to come back with. I need that. If I don't have any ammo, what am I going to say?
There's obviously a limit to the things you want people to know, but I've pretty much put most of it out there. Maybe people don't know what kind of underwear I wear, what color.
Boxers. Pink.
It's fun to take a step back and hear other people do it, say shit I wish I would have thought of. I'm still a fan of rap.
When people buy a CD, you don't get to sit in the car with them and watch their faces and watch their jaws drop.
The guy behind the counter notices me, but I haven't put an album out in four years. "How you doing Marshall?" "What's up Em?" You pay for the gas, buy a bag of chips, and leave. But I put a record out, and that same person is going to be behind the counter with a camera and a piece of paper. "Can you sign this?"
It's not like I'm going to be a prick to everybody I meet. I keep it cool.
You're not going to say anything about me that I'm not going to say about myself. There's so many things that I think about myself; if someone really wanted to get at me, they could say this and this and this. So I'm going to say it before they can. It's the best policy for me.
Trust is hard to come by. That's why my circle is small and tight. I'm kind of funny about making new friends.
I don't know where to go to meet a nice girl. If you've got any tips, clue me in.
The emotions in a song--the anger, aggression--have got to be legitimate.
When I'm in the studio with Dre, I don't have to worry about the beat. I can just go. That's the only thing I got to concentrate on. When I'm trying to produce a song myself, I'm thinking about the high hat. Is it loud enough? The snare drum. Is it clear enough? This piano in the chorus. Is it too loud? That can be time-consuming.
Within the last year, I started learning how to not be so angry about things, learning how to count my fucking blessings instead. By doing that, I've become a happier person, instead of all this self-loathing I was doing for a while.
The music, I wouldn't say it's gotten happier, but it's definitely more upbeat. I feel like myself again.
Don't get me wrong, the aggression will still be there.
I don't know if I've fully accepted Proof's death, but I think I've come to terms with it a little bit, knowing how to cope. There was a good two years that I was pretty down in the fucking dumps. I just lay in bed and stared at the fucking ceiling. One day, I didn't get up until 7:30 that night.
Not that I don't guide them at all, because sometimes I do, right from wrong. Hailie's twelve now, and she still thinks it's really bad to stick up your middle finger. I think I'm doing pretty good, with what my music is about and being able to raise little girls at the same time.
I would say I'm an excellent dad, not to toot my own horn. Toot.
If you don't overlook the fact of what you look like, then no one else will. I had a complex back then: If I get booed off stage, it's probably because I'm white. There comes a time when you gotta stop thinking like that and just be you.
I want to say I'd be a comic-book artist. That was my dream as a kid. I used to paint and draw. If I wouldn't have had rap, I would have strived to--the past tense of strive, is it stroved?--I would have stroven to do something like that. Who knows? Maybe I would have.
Nobody likes to fail. I want to succeed in everything I do, which isn't much. But the things that I'm really passionate about, if I fail at those, if I'm not successful, what do I have?
Shit happens. Fucking happens to the best of us. Really does.

New Dre Song - "Set It Off"
Dr. Dre hasn't rapped on many songs in the last few years but a new song recently leaked that features the doc on the mic. The "Set It Off" remix from Kardinal Offishall features Dre talking about his comeback and assures fans he isn't retiring "I heard a lot of ni--as quittin', but I ain't done," Dre raps. "Ring the alarm/ I make it hotter than hell (hell, yeah!) ... / You clowns know who the crown belong to/ And I can set it off, if you want me to".
The story behind the song goes like this. Apparently after Interscope's head man Jimmy Iovine sent B-Roll footage of the songs video, Dr. Dre got excited and decided to lay his own verse on the song. According to DJ Skee, who leaked the song on his radio show, Dre recorded the verse serveral months ago. "Set It Off" is the next single from Kardinal Offishall's "Not 4 Sale" album currently in stores.

Eminem's Relapse Coming Next Year
In related news, Eminem recently released a new book called “The Way I Am” [buy it now]. The new book includes a collection of personal stories, reflections, photographs, original artwork, and never before published lyric sheets. In the first printing of the book, a bonus DVD is included containing personally shot video footage from Eminem and unreleased interviews.
50 Defends Delay, Predicts Good First Week
The G-Unit general also knows it's important to have a good first week in sales saying "In hip-hop music the big bang comes the first week," 50 said, continuing "If you set a stronger impression out in the front you can actually win big because people understand that its good enough for them to go out and get it. Hip-Hop artists don't make it to single four if their project isn't successful. They have to hit with the first record."
50 says his first single "Get Up" [watch/listen here], produced by Scott Storch, will help him debut high. "This record, 'Get Up' is actually performing better at radio than 'I Get Money,' than records that I felt like was dead right," 50 says, continuing "So I gotta say that I'm in a good space. I'm just not in a hurry to actually put the record out. I want it to be perfect."
T.I. Heads Back To Court, This Time To Testify
According to the Cincinnati Enquirer, the two brothers took issue with T.I. and his entourage after they were denied access to exclusive areas at a late night party and concert. "T.I. and his group were in the VIP area," Cincinnati Homicide Detective Tim Gormly told the Enquirer. "The suspects wanted to get in the VIP area and weren't allowed to." According to the paper one of T.I.'s entourage hit one of the brothers and later taunted them which led to the brothers shooting up T.I.'s vehicles later that night.

11-11-2008 Trick Trick Attacks Gays On New Album
Detroit rapper Trick Trick has never shied away from confronting fellow MCs on wax or in the streets to handle unresolved issues.
However, the controversial rapper now has his sights aimed at an unlikely target; the entire gay community.
In an exclusive statement to AllHipHop.com, Trick Trick expressed his disgust of the homosexual lifestyle, and explained that he doesn’t want any gay individuals to purchase his newly released sophomore album, The Villian.
“I’ma go on the record right now with this. Homosexuals are probably not gonna like this album,” Trick revealed to AllHipHop.com. “I don’t want your f**got money any goddamn way. I don’t like it [homosexuality]. Carry that s**t somewhere else.”
Trick Trick is a close friend and collaborator with Detroit superstar Eminem, an MC who dealt with massive backlash through most of his career due to lyrics perceived as homophobic.
It was not until Eminem’s 2001 Grammy performance with openly gay music legend Elton John that the attacks subsided.
Not afraid of an impending firestorm that could threaten his album’s success, Trick Trick explained that his anger comes from what he feels is mainstream society’s growing promotion of homosexuality as an acceptable lifestyle.
“It’s just that every time that you turn on the TV, that sissy s**t is on,” Trick told AllHipHop.com. “And they act like its f**king okay. The world is changing for the worst when s**t like that happens. And I address that issue. I address it hard as hell.”
On the self-titled album track called "Trick Trick," the Detroit rapper hurls vitriolic bars against gay activists Ellen DeGeneres and Rosie O’Donnell, referring to them as “dyke b**ches” and promising to send a “scud missile right through their f**king cruise ship.”
Regarding same-sex adoption, Trick Trick adamantly spits that “He goes both ways/Either way he’s gay/Ain’t no other way to say/He’s a f**king faggot so I’m lettin’ off my AK/Bust ‘em in his forehead/He ain’t worth lettin’ live/A man and man shouldn’t raise another man’s kids!”
Trick Trick’s The Villian is in stores now and features appearances from Eminem, Ice Cube, Kid Rock, Proof, Esham, Guilty Simpson, and Royce Da 5’9.

Microsoft Patents Censorship Bots?
According to Mark Harris, This is supposed to "Protect Children" from what some people call "The Seven Dirty Words". He claims that the words used in todays music, movies, TV, etc. is corrupting the next generation and the current youth of America. I use and listen to these words everyday and nothing is wrong with me so I really don't think this is necessary. This is not protecting the youth in ANY WAY.... All for now... NOW FOR SOUTH PARK!!!
Eminem's Relapse Delayed? - Maybe Says Source
The anticipation for Eminem's new album "The Relapse" is getting bigger but will the album hit stores this year? An insider told the New York Post that they think Eminem's album will drop early next year but there is still a possibility it might come in December. "There's a 50-50 chance it will be done the end of this year," the source says "But most likely it'll be the first quarter of next year. It's great." The source also told the post "Eminem has been through a lot. He is being a perfectionist and is completely obsessive-compulsive about this album."
As previously reported, Eminem talks about the last few years in "The Way I Am," his new book recently released [buy here]. At a release party for the book, Eminem also put out a new freestyle called "Im Having A Relapse" [listen here]. So when exactly will Eminem's "Relapse" hit stores? Only time will tell.
